After Effects: Using the motion tracker
Someone recently made a post on the creativecow.net After Effects Basics forum asking how to make one layer, such as a title, look like it was stuck to another layer. One way of doing this is using AE’s motion tracking feature.

READ THIS! I am not answering any questions, because everything you need to know about making ramped slow-mos are in the tutorial. So stop posting comments, and sending messages why your ramped slow-mo isn’t working. All I can say is, if it isn’t working, you did one of these may things. Didn’t listen close enough, downloaded a cracked version of after effects, and/or tryed to remember what I said, and forgot when you actually tryed to make it later.

@dormantreign Brutal! With keyframes? I only recently started getting into motion tracking, and keyframes are, precise, yes, but incredibly tedious.

thanks for this video, i used the tracking to add a UFO to a sky shot, then also created a light point, connected that to the same tracker then created an optical flare which was connected to that light and created something really nifty, gonna be uploading to my channel within the next half hour

This looks kind of dodgy because you can’t see the text through the windows on the train as it passes so it just looks like it disappears. It’d look really nice with a more solid object though.
